Do You Have A Sleeping Disorder?

Many people in the world today have an undiagnosed sleeping disorder. These people tend to have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep throughout the night.

Because of this, they may find it difficult to focus during the day. Thefatigue and irritability that comes with a sleep disorder is often something that the sufferer cannot shake.

When asked what their troubles with sleeping are, someone who has a sleep disorder will usually answer with one of the following statements:

-I cannot get to sleep (or stay asleep) each night.

-I have trouble staying alert and awake during the day.

-It’s so hard to get up each morning.

-I seem to do weird things while asleep.

If you are one that has trouble going to sleep each night, there could be a number of reasons for the problem. Sleep latency is a common issue for those who cannot seem to get to sleep within a decent time after lying down.

It can be a symptom of many serious sleep disorders, such as insomnia, restless leg syndrome, and delayed sleep phase disorder. For some of these people, the problem isn’t with falling asleep right as they go to bed, but not being able to go back to sleep after waking up several times throughout the night.

Those that suffer from not being able to stay awake and alert throughout the day can be suffering from a number of disorders. Their fatigue and grogginess could be due to a sleeping disorder that is not allowing them to get enough sleep.

On the other hand, they could be suffering from something similar to narcolepsy. This condition involves the inability to stay awake, and is sometimes not dependent on how well you sleep at night.

Having extreme difficulties with getting out of bed each morning is known as excessive sleep inertia. These people typically find it hard to make the transition from being asleep to waking up.

This goes way beyond the normal feelings of not wanting to get out of bed early or to go to work. People who have excessive sleep inertia may be suffering from it due to disorders such as sleep apnea and delayed sleep phase disorder.

If you find that you are doing strange things while you are asleep, you may find that sleeping presents you with a number of surprises. These actions are likely due to disorders such as sleepwalking, REM sleep behavior disorder, sleep terrors, and nightmares.

Learning new ways for battling anxiety as well as how to make yourselftired enough to sleep without movement is necessary.
