How To Get Rid Of Acne Fast!

by Connie Palmer
(Los Angeles, California, USA)

Unsightly pimples always show up at the worst time! You wake up in the morning with a gigantic zit on your chin and a big date in just twelve hours.

A fast, simple, effective solution is needed. What is the best way to get rid of acne fast? There is actually a combination of several things we can do to banish that pimple, quick.

First of all you must wash your face and hands with a gentle cleanser. Don't fall into the trap of using a harsh, drying agent.

This will not only make the zit appear more red because it is irritated, it will most likely dry out the rest of your skin too, making it flaky.

Resist the urge to poke, prod, or pop the blemish. This will only make it more inflamed, and may even give you a scab.

Apply a topical treatment directly to the zit, not the surrounding skin. It is best to use a q-tip for precise application.

You can use a treatment with benzoyl peroxide, a dab of straight tea tree oil, or even toothpaste will work (not the gel).

If you can go without makeup for the rest of the day, this will give the skin a better chance to get rid of acne fast. If makeup is added at this point it will only further clog and irritate the pore.

Next, start applying ice treatments. Once every hour for 5-10 minutes apply an ice cube to the area. This will help the swelling and redness to go down.

As your date draws closer, you should see your zit getting smaller and smaller. Remember, don't touch it!

At the end of the day the final treatment to hopefully further diminish or even banish the zit for good is Visine.

Visine is known to calm down bloodshot eyes, but it can also significantly reduce the red in pimples as well.

Again, make sure your hands are clean and then dab on a few drops of Visine. Allow it to air dry. Reapply if necessary.

If you are still not satisfied with the appearance of the blemish there is one makeup tip you can try. There is a green tinted concealer made by Physician's Formula.

Use a q-tip and dab a small amount just on the red area. Then take you regular concealer and put it over the green.

Green immediately neutralizes red, so you will have a much better chance of truly concealing the mark. Remember, if you keep your hands off of the pimple, the concealer should stay put all night.

Pimples always do seem to pop up at the worst moments. Thankfully now though you will have a full regime to get rid of acne fast, and go on and enjoy the rest of your day. Pimples will think twice before showing up uninvited.
