In Balancing Kindness and Your Appearance & self image Kindness and Your Appearance

Natural Beauty & Self Image....good looks and physical appearance are qualities, which are collectively acknowledged as external and shallow when talked about in the perspective of evaluating a person for human relationships. This can either be for friendship or for a more intimate and sexual relationship.

Using this premise, most people tend to evaluate a person based on his or her physical appearance as well as their personality traits. However, some people will look only at the physical appearance while others will look for the personality traits as well. But whatever the choice, we cannot simply surmise the fact that personality has been one of the significant factors why people see the beauty within an individual.

In a particular study conducted to identify if personality and physical appearance can be considered as “predictors” of mate selection in females, the researchers have found that nearly 90% of the 92 married couples surveyed have answered that personality is preferred over physical appearance. Among the many factors that constitute personality, kindness is the most important.

According to the study, almost 90% of the respondents replied that they would rather marry a person with a kind heart than a person who is only beautiful from the outside but is contrastingly vicious in the inside.

The law of Karma, patterned upon the rock of Newton’s law of cause and effect, asserts that for every action, there is an equal reaction: take away someone’s sight and you will lose yours. Give kindness, and you will reap what you sow.

Natural Beauty Self Image The simple fact is that if people pay more attention to being kind rather than being vain in their appearance, beauty will naturally emanate from within. That is what real beauty is all about.

What most people do not know is that enlightenment and the goodness of a person causes his personal aura to vibrate at a vastly increased rate. This vibration frequency creates the total character development that constitutes the attractiveness of a person, based both on the physical aspect and personality facets.

The bottom line is that it is really “nice to be nice.” Any acts of kindness, even a simple smile or uttering a few “kind” words can make a difference.

Remember that a smile is better than a few dabs of lipstick or a few strokes of blush-on. What matters most is how you show your kindness to everyone. From there, beauty naturally radiates from the positive aura that is emanating from within your soul.

“Manners and Appearance”

Being beautiful does not necessarily equate to having a sexy figure or flawless skin. Yes, people may be impressed by one’s good physical features but maintaining that impression is another challenge.

Your manners are also used as barometers by people in assessing your overall beauty. Having good manners and proper conduct are lessons which are taught in the early stages of life. They are instilled throughout kindergarten, primary school and so on. However, when people grow up, they tend to forget these lessons thinking that these are only applicable for kids.

This article is all about having the correct manners to enhance your inherent beauty. Listed below are some of the tips on highlighting your good qualities by having the proper manners:

- Be polite

Regardless of place and stature, one should always keep in mind that being polite gives a certain feeling of comfort to the people who are talking to you. Being polite is indicative of one’s respect toward others. Respect, in the deepest sense, is more important than being physically attractive.

- Be on time

Whether it be for business meetings or casual dates, being on time is very important. It reflects how one sees the importance of time and how he respects the purpose of the event.

- Stand straight

Your stance is reflective of your self-confidence. There are people, however beautiful they may be on the outside, are crumpled by their poor stance. Standing straight with confidence makes one glow and stand out above the rest.

- Walking

Walking is another important aspect which could potentially enhance your appearance. People take walking for granted because it is never deemed as an important act, but a recent survey showed that people who walk fast with the proper body form are seen as important and busy people. It’s all about building an image.

- Language

Manners don’t only cover physical actions, they cover your language and whatever words come out of your mouth will be used by other people in assessing you. Observing the proper language will give a person a respectful image.

When it comes to building an overall image, having good manners is as important as keeping your physique at its best. In fact, you can argue that having the proper manners is more important because it is directly reflective of your attitude. The inner beauty of a person is transcended into the physical world through his manners and actions.

“Your appearance affected by your Manners ”

How manners can affect appearance

Have you ever encountered people who do no mind their manners? In a department store, when a woman starts screaming at the top of her lungs cursing a sales clerk because she did not get the size or color of an item she requested, other people will not be concerned about her appearance – just her manners. Those present will start ignoring her. This is a perfect example of a situation where manners override physical appearance.

Today, there are more than enough reasons why people get angry and nasty. While they have the right to feel that way, it is important that they know how to handle the situation properly, especially when in public and other people are around.

Manners or etiquette refers to set of expectations regarding social behavior; also known as conventional norm. I is an unwritten code implemented primarily by parents and teachers to produce well-mannered adults.

Sub-consciously or consciously, people put more emphasis on their first impressions, particularly with others that they wish to have a personal relationship with. This does not cover just physical appearance but also good manners. Nobody wants to associate with anyone who talks when his mouth is full, asks the woman to pay for their first date, or someone who does not stop talking.

Men in particular, who are polite, are greatly appreciated. If they stand when introduced to a woman, say “thank you” and “please” more often, they impress more people - not just the female population.

Manners are written and unwritten rules that define or limit the behavior when interacting with other people. They are often associated with respect and proper conduct.

The following are the guidelines to becoming a well-mannered individual:

1. Be warm and respectful when greeting acquaintances and friends. Uncomplimentary opinions of another person must not be expressed to others. These opinions can destroy another individual’s reputation or privacy. Avoid insulting other people, especially when in a crowd since this can adversely affect their emotions and self-confidence.

2. Be hospitable and accommodating to everyone who pays you a visit. It is considered a personal responsibility or duty of homeowners to be considerate of their visitors.

3. Dress appropriately by choosing clothes that will not offend others, especially when attending meetings, social gatherings, etc.

An average looking person who is well mannered is more pleasing in comparison to good-looking person without manners. While physical appearance is important, it is more essential to pay attention to etiquette, which will be the determining factor of success when interacting and building relationships with other people.
