Natural Beauty.... few tips on how to create that perfect party look with your make-up!

COSMETIC foundation is important because it covers flaws in your skin dark spots, birth-mark, scars, dark circles under your eyes, and even the dreadful red marks left over from a pimple. Cosmetic foundation to a model is like a base coat of paint to a painter.

It makes the surface easier to work with, making all other makeup applications smoother. It also helps your makeup last longer and stay fresher. Once you've got your foundation on right, move on to the other stuff.

Natural Beauty....eye shadows for party makeup

Choose an eye shadow to compliment your clothing. If you're wearing a blue blouse, choose a nice blue shadow as your base, blending it over your eyelid, up to your brow at the outer side of your eyelids.

Now, choose a nice complimentary purple to add to the eyelid only. Use a darker blue in the crease of your eyelid. Use a tiny amount of white in the centre at the eyelash level to give highlights.

Natural Beauty....eye liners and mascaras

Liners can be liquids or pencils. Both work well. Using liquid on the top eyelid and pencil on the bottom lid is easier. During the day, and when you're not working, use tones of browns. In the evenings when you go out, or if you are working, use blacks. Blacks make eyes look larger, hence prettier!.

Use the pencil on top of your bottom eyelid. Hold your bottom eyelid down with one finger as you apply the line with the pencil. Heating the pencil tip slightly works better. But do not hold pencil in the fire flame, just pass it over.

Natural Beauty Natural Beauty....blush as bridal makeup

While choosing a blush, make sure it is not too bold! Use a blush that will compliment your foundation and skin tone. Use it on your cheekbones. Start with a brush; just a finger width from your nose bridge. Blend it over your cheekbone, from front to back. Use an application that is just a highlight to your face.

Natural Beauty....lipsticks and lip liners

Lipsticks can be used in any colour you wish. We all have our favourites. But do stay away from bright reds! In order to make your lipstick last all day, use the lip pencil (liner) over all areas of your lips. This is an undercoat. Pencils do not wear off as fast as the lipstick. Be sure to use the same colour of pencil as lipstick.

“Right Blusher For The Right Type Of Skin”

Gone are the days when women stuck to one color blusher usuallypinks or peaches. Now days, blushers come in a whole new varietyof colors and different formulations. There are vast array ofclever new formulas. The main choices are traditional powder, acream texture, a modern liquid or a gel finish. So there iscertainly one out there to suit your skin type.

Powder blush is the easiest to use. If you prefer this type, choose one that isn't too sparkly or it'll enhance yourwrinkles. Shimmery blushers are far kinder to mature skin asthey diffuse fine lines, making the delicate skin around yourcheeks look younger. And as your skin feels drier as you getolder, you could also try moisturizing cream formula that givesa flattering sheen to your skin.

Natural Beauty....for all skin types

Right type: LIQUID CHEEK STAINS

Reason: They're excellent for all skin types and face shapes,as you can use a little to achieve a natural flush of color, orlayer to build up the shading to an intense hue that will lastall through the day.

How to apply: They work best on bare cheeks and need to beapplied quickly to avoid mistakes. Apply powder blusher overcheek stains for ultimate staying powder.

Dry or Combination Skin

Right type: CREAM

Reason: Cream blusher is the best if you have dry tocombination skin as there's no powder to sit on your drypatches. Also, the texture helps your skin maintain a natural ,luminous glow.

How to apply: It's easy to apply on bare skin or overfoundation. If you have a round face don't shade apples of yourcheek instead apply it on your cheekbones, slanting towards yourtemples.

Oily Skin

Right type: POWDER

Reason: It's classic, and perfect for achieving dense colorcoverage. It's the best texture for contouring your cheekbones, and is ideal for oily skin as it lies well on your skin'ssurface and reduces shine.

How to apply: Sweep on to your cheeks in a croissant shape fora natural - looking flush.

Mature Skin

Right type: GEL OR MOUSSE

Reason: Mousse and gel formulas are great for mature skins andif you want a subtle result. They can be worn alone on bareskin or layered over foundation, before powder, and are lessfiddy to use than liquid stains. All mousse formulas offerpretty velvety finish and are really smooth to apply.

How to apply: When putting on gel or mousse blusher, tap itgently on to your cheeks and blend upwards and outwards withyour fingertips. But don't apply it on top of your make- up asyou will not be able to blend it.

“Seven Steps to Great Makeup”

1. Avoid wearing too much!

Makeup is meant to enhance features not bring attention to you. That’s what wearing too much makeup will do; it will bring unwanted attention to you. Don’t wear too much of anything such as, Eyeliner: dark, thick eyeliner will make you look overdone and will ruin the rest of your makeup. Mascara: too much mascara looks fake and will flake.

It looks especially bad if worn with thick eyeliner. Foundation: Make sure your foundation is the same color as your skin. Foundation is meant to protect and give the face a smooth look. The magic word is, blend. Powder: The same holds true for powder – not too much Also, be sure to blend your makeup so there are no obvious lines.

2. Lips

Apply lip liner to completely cover the lips and then add color and your lipstick will stay on much longer. Make sure your lip liner doesn’t show. Also, your lip color should match your skin tone; wear cool colors if you have cool coloring and warm colors if you have warm coloring.

If you want to make your lips look smaller, stay inside the outline of your lips. However, if you decide to make your lips look larger, going outside the natural outline of you lips is a mistake. This can look quite messy and unnatural.

3. Appropriate makeup

Wear makeup that is appropriate for the occasion. If you are going to the beach you shouldn’t wear the same or as much makeup as you would if you were going dancing. Also, when you are in daylight your makeup should be a lighter than when you are out for the evening.

4. Too little or no makeup

Some women don’t wear makeup because they are not sure howto use it and are afraid of being overdone. If you are unsure, start will light colors in your shade. Start slowly and add one product at a time. Maybe start with foundation, add mascara, blush or lipstick.

If you are not used to wearing makeup, using a lot a first may be a little too much for you, so start slowly. The bottom line is a little is better than none. If you are still unsure seek professional advice.

5. Overall look

When your makeup is completed it should look natural. That means avoiding colors that clash. If you have dark skin and hair you will look better in darker shades; light colors will make you look washed out.

If your hair and skin tone are light, light colors will look better on you. Dark makeup will make you look older and harsh. If you have oily skin, first use oil control moisturizer and foundation. Then be sure to wear loose powder, keeping pressed powder with you for touch ups.

6. Hair color

Your hair color should also be in harmony with your skin. If you have dark hair and you want to add color, keep it close to the same shade. If you have light hair, use light colors. As you age your skin will lighten, so should your hair color (not to extremes now).

One last thing about hair color – if you do color you hair be sure you keep it up, don’t ever let your roots show!.

7.One last thing

Keep makeup looking fresh all day by doing regular touch ups. Don’t let your makeup fade or crease. Smile!!!
